Test Drive

As part of the preparation of our vehicles, we take each and every vehicle on a 15-mile test drive. The same route is used which takes the vehicle over roundabouts, speed humps and up to 70 mph to ensure the vehicle drives correctly with no knocks or rattles. This test drive is enough time to identify any faults before the service / mot and pre delivery inspection is carried out.

Service and MOT

Every vehicle leaves us with a Service and a Full 12 Months MOT regardless of when the last one was completed, for example, if a vehicle has 10 months MOT remaining we will still carry out a new test.

At the end of the MOT the tester could have identified a number of issues that may need fixing soon but are not serious enough to cause the vehicle to fail its MOT. There is no legal obligation to take any action based on the MOT advisory notes, but it would be unwise to ignore them. At Schofield Motors ALL of our vehicles are sold with no outstanding advisory work required. You will be given full documentation with your new vehicle which will highlight all of the vehicles preparation identifying what has been repaired or replaced.

Pre Delivery inspection

Every vehicle completes a 123 point pre delivery inspection this covers everything from the mechanical performance of the vehicle to items such as electric windows, mirrors and locks etc.

Whats included with my new vehicle

We supply all vehicles with a comprehensive 3 month UK wide warranty and roadside assistance both can be extended up to 2 years please see the warranty page for full details. Each vehicle has 2 keys and a minimum 1/4 tank of fuel. Your paperwork will include service records, new mot certificate and documentation highlighting other preparation works completed. We will also complete all paperwork and regulatory processes including notification of ownership.

So in keeping with this, we have some options which may help with the long term health of your vehicle.

Firstly we can offer 2 year service plans ( 2 services ) with 24 x interest free payments of £19 per month.

Extended / upgraded your warranties - extend your warranty and roadside assistance to either 12 or 24 months and pay over 10 x interest free months
